A-Level tuition
A-Level Biology tuition in London
A-Level Biology rewards detailed knowledge and precise answers. At Advanced Tuition in London, we teach the full course, then practise using that knowledge in the questions students actually face. Four-hour weekend sessions in small classes give tutors time to spot gaps, work through them and check progress, with Moodle resources and an online community between lessons.

See how the processes fit together
Biology becomes easier to follow when students can explain the connection between one stage and the next. We work through those links carefully, then return to them in different topics and questions. That helps students organise what they know and recall it when they need it.
Develop knowledge and scientific reasoning together
Biological structures and processes
We teach processes step by step and ask students to explain the relationship between structure and function. Their answers tell us when an idea needs another explanation.
Inheritance, variation and living systems
Students practise connecting ideas across the course and using them in unfamiliar examples. Tutors check the biological reasoning and the precision of the language.
Data and practical evidence
We work through graphs, results and practical evidence. Tutors identify whether the difficulty is in the underlying biology, the reading of the data or the conclusion drawn from it.
Make exam answers more precise
A student may understand the topic and still leave out the detail an answer needs. We practise reading the question closely, choosing the relevant ideas and explaining the links between them. Marked feedback shows exactly where more precision or a fuller explanation is needed.

Keep earlier topics active
Recall questions, selected practice and assessment keep earlier learning in use. We check what students remember and what they can apply, then use that evidence to plan revision. Students can bring difficult questions to class and raise them in the online community between sessions.
Complete teaching, with questions chosen for a reason
Our Biology programme works through the specification from beginning to end. Questions are selected to test concepts, expose misconceptions and develop exam skills. Tutors are chosen for how well they teach, and continue to receive observation, feedback and support.
Resources and support between lessons
Moodle holds tutor notes, teaching materials and selected questions students can return to throughout the course. The online community lets them ask about a difficult question, share an explanation and learn from one another. Tutors and management stay involved in that continuing discussion.
Sessions and fees
Biology is taught in four-hour weekend sessions in small classes. Year 12 tuition is £15 per hour and Year 13 tuition is £17.50 per hour. Enrolment is open throughout the year, subject to places in the appropriate class.

Questions
A-Level Biology FAQs
We teach the complete course, with concepts, practice, assessment and exam preparation throughout. Tutors address gaps as they arise and revisit the difficult areas until students can use the ideas more confidently.
Build regular recall and question practice into the week. We help students see which topics need attention and how the ideas connect. Moodle materials and feedback give that independent work a clear direction.
Yes. We practise identifying the biology in the information given, then building an answer from it. Reviewing difficult attempts helps students recognise the same idea when it appears in a different setting.
Yes. Students practise reading graphs and results, identifying patterns and explaining what the evidence supports. The tutor checks the reasoning behind the answer as well as the scientific language.
Speak to your school or college about the delivery and assessment of the practical endorsement. Our tuition supports the course and practical-question understanding; ask us about the exact support available.
