Physics

Physics is a branch of natural science...

… that deals with the structure of matter and the interactions between the fundamental constituents of the universe. Advances in this field helps lead to new technologies such as quantum computers and carbon-free nuclear fusion along with providing new avenues of research in academic disciplines such as philosophy and mathematics. Its application can be seen daily from the motion of walking, satellite communication to understanding how car seat-belts work. Physics helps you to understand the world and unlock a range of skills which include problem-solving, constructing logical arguments and an attention to detail.

Studying A-Level and GCSE’s Physics gives you a good understanding of scientific principles. Strong mathematical skills are required, thus studying Physics in tandem with Mathematics is very common amongst students. Physics covers a wide range of topics varying from particle physics and electricity to Kinetics and Energy transfer. Studying Physics requires a lot of independent study and sharpens ones critical thinking & problem solving skills. Using a variety of resources and a lot of time to practice the skills gained, exam style question, which consist of many ‘puzzle type’ questions become much easier to solve.

At Advanced Tuition, we will guide our students through the entire specification. We will hone the skills necessary to overcome problematic questions in the exams. This will be done through various exercises.
