A-Level Economics tuition in London

Economics asks students to explain an argument, use evidence and decide how far it holds. At Advanced Tuition in London, we teach the full A-Level course alongside the essay and data-response skills it needs. Four-hour weekend sessions in small classes give tutors time to discuss ideas, review writing and work through difficulties, with resources and support between lessons.

Follow the argument through

We help students explain how one change leads to another and what the result depends on. Questions and discussion make a missing connection easier to spot. Students then practise putting that reasoning into a clear answer supported by the context they have been given.

Connect theory, evidence and evaluation

Microeconomics

Students work through the behaviour of consumers, firms and markets, explaining each link in an argument. Questions check how well they can use the idea in a particular situation.

Macroeconomics

We connect economic changes and policy decisions with their possible effects. Students practise explaining the reasoning, the assumptions and the factors that could change the outcome.

Application and judgement

Students use evidence and diagrams to develop an argument, then weigh it up. We work on reaching a judgement that follows from the analysis and answers the question.

Develop balanced written answers

We work through what the question asks, the argument a student wants to make and the evidence that supports it. Planning, writing and marking show where a point needs more development or a judgement needs a clearer reason. Students learn to make each paragraph contribute to the answer.

Use diagrams and data with purpose

Students practise reading the information, identifying the relationship and using it in their explanation. We check that a diagram or statistic supports the argument around it and that the student can explain why it is relevant.

The full course, with regular written practice

Microeconomics, macroeconomics and exam skills are taught through a complete programme. Questions are chosen to develop analysis, data interpretation and evaluation. Tutors are assessed on how clearly they teach and receive continuing observation, feedback and support.

Resources and support between lessons

Moodle gives students access to tutor notes, teaching materials and selected questions. The online community lets them ask about an argument, share an explanation and work through difficulties with other students and tutors. Feedback helps them decide what to revisit before the next session.

Sessions and fees

Economics is taught in four-hour weekend sessions in small classes. Year 12 tuition is £15 per hour and Year 13 tuition is £17.50 per hour. Students can join throughout the year, subject to places in the appropriate class.
